It also provides the premier interdisciplinary forum for researchers and practitioners to present the most recent trends, practical challenges \u00a0and the solutions for disaster risk reduction connected with natural hazard. In the fourth edition, we would like to focus on local problems and solutions highlighted in the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction (2015-2030), UNDRR.<\/p>\r\n<p>Session topics will cover theoretical and practical issues of disaster risk reduction. There is a place for geographical physical and social issues as well as the \u00a0risk reduction management in the context of natural hazards.\u00a0Interdisciplinary approach is expected. We are looking forward to the discussion with your participation!<\/p>\r\n<p><strong>Keynote Speakers<\/strong> will include<\/p>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li>Prof. Lindsey McEwen (Professor of Environmental Management, Department of Geography and Environmental Management, University of the West of England);\u00a0<\/li>\r\n<li>Prof. Peter Head (Global Risk Assessment Framework with UNDRR; GRAF\/GAR advisory board);\u00a0<\/li>\r\n<li>Dr. Koen van Dam (Imperial College\u00a0Research London; the Urban Energy Systems group);<\/li>\r\n<li>Celina Kretkowska-Adamowicz:\u00a0Specialist in the program of the \u00a0Department of Humanitarian and Development Assistance, \u00a0the Polish Humanitarian Action (PAH).<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<p>During the 4th DRR 2019 aspects relating to Disaster Risk Reduction will be regularly considered in the context of<strong> <a href=\"http:\/\/drr.uw.edu.pl\/en\/warsztaty-2\/\">workshops<\/a>.<\/strong> These meetings\u00a0will to serve as an intensive \u00a0forum for exchanging ideas, theories and practis.<\/p>\r\n<p>We encourage promoting the International Day for Disaster Risk Reduction, on October 13, 2019. We are open to hear your action: a local, non-governmental organisations, and government, and all the right initiatives to reduce disaster risk.
